Supermetrics alternative

The Supermetrics alternative built to run ads, not just report on them

Supermetrics is the reporting pipeline half the industry grew up on: 170+ sources into Sheets, Looker Studio, and warehouses, now with a hosted MCP and beta campaign tools for Google, Meta, Microsoft, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Blend MCP does one thing deeper: it lets your AI analyze, launch, edit, and pause campaigns across all eight platforms - Pinterest, Amazon, and Reddit included - from any MCP client, with official-partner guardrails and humans on support. If you need dashboards and a warehouse, keep Supermetrics. If you need your AI to actually run the ads, here's the honest head-to-head.

Here's our honest take

Pick the one that actually fits how you run ads.

Supermetrics

Pick Supermetrics if you need a reporting pipeline more than an ad operator.

  • You need ads data next to everything else - GA4, Search Console, Shopify, HubSpot, Salesforce: 170+ sources behind one endpoint.

  • You need destinations - Google Sheets, Excel, Looker Studio, Power BI, and on Enterprise, BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, and data lakes.

  • You want AI-built dashboards - Supermetrics Studio turns a prompt into a live, shareable dashboard, with AI credits bundled into every plan.

  • Your writes are Google, Meta, Microsoft, TikTok, and LinkedIn only, you can live with beta reliability, and you already pay for the pipeline.

The category incumbent - 170+ sources, every BI and warehouse destination that matters, SOC 2 and ISO 27001, and now an MCP with beta campaign tools on five platforms. Many teams keep it for reporting and add Blend for execution.

Supermetrics and Blend MCP solve different problems, and both are hosted MCP servers you can add to the same Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor setup. The split we see most often:

Supermetrics for the pipeline

  • Client dashboards in Looker Studio, Sheets, Power BI, or Supermetrics Studio
  • Warehouse and data-lake feeds across ads, GA4, CRM, and e-commerce sources
  • Cross-source reporting for finance and leadership

Blend MCP for execution

  • Daily budget shifts, pauses, and bid changes across all eight platforms
  • Launching campaigns and uploading creative from chat - paused until you approve
  • Cross-platform reallocation from one connector, from any MCP client, with no row meter

Supermetrics vs Blend MCP: FAQs

The questions people ask before choosing - answered from both products' published docs and pricing.

Yes. Supermetrics MCP is a hosted server (v1.0 shipped April 2026) that is included with every paid Supermetrics package that has Data API access, and it also has a stand-alone 14-day trial. It exposes discovery and data-query tools across 170+ sources, plus beta campaign-management tools. Access is metered in rows per month - 50,000 on Starter, 250,000 on Growth, 500,000 on Pro - and only covers the data sources your package pays for.

Not anymore. Since April 2026 Supermetrics has campaign_create and campaign_update tools for Google Ads, Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads, TikTok Ads, and LinkedIn Ads (plus ChatGPT Ads). They are labelled beta / early access, must be enabled per ad account, launch new campaigns paused, and keep a change log with undo. Pinterest, Amazon, and Reddit Ads are read-only. Blend MCP is read-write on all eight platforms and has been running AI writes on live accounts for 6+ years.

Supermetrics' own documentation is candid: campaign-management features 'disappear intermittently' as a known issue, Performance Max asset groups can fail to reach Google Ads even when the campaign is created, adding keywords can return success without the keywords being added, and Meta video ads aren't fully supported. That is normal for a beta - but it is a beta. Blend MCP was built from the ground up to service paid ads, on top of six years of developing AI for marketing: the write path is the product, not an add-on, and every action is validated before it reaches the platform.

No. Blend MCP is an execution layer: it reads live data from the ad platforms and applies changes through the official APIs, but it does not store data or sync it to destinations. If you need dashboards or a warehouse, keep Supermetrics (or any ELT tool) for that and use Blend MCP for the changes.

Yes. Both are hosted MCP servers with OAuth sign-in, so you can add both to the same Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor configuration. The split we see most often is Supermetrics for reporting, dashboards, and the warehouse, and Blend MCP for daily execution - budget shifts, pauses, launches, and creative uploads across all eight platforms.

Blend MCP, at every size we can construct. Supermetrics Starter is $49/mo ($39 annual) for three data sources, one destination, one user, and three accounts per source. Blend MCP Launch is $29/mo with all eight platforms. Once you run four or more platforms Supermetrics moves you to Growth at $199/mo (seven sources) or Pro at $499/mo (ten sources), while Blend Growth is $79/mo with unlimited ad accounts. Supermetrics does bundle far more - 170+ sources and BI destinations - so it can be worth it if you need the pipeline.

For running ads, Blend MCP: Growth is $79/mo with unlimited ad accounts across all eight platforms, agency account support, and 24/5 human live support. Supermetrics caps accounts per source (3 on Starter, 7 on Growth, 10 on Pro), charges $13/mo per extra account up to a hard cap, and then moves you to an Enterprise quote. For agency reporting - client dashboards, Looker Studio, warehouse feeds - Supermetrics remains one of the strongest options.

Blend MCP covers the eight ad platforms: Google, Meta, TikTok, Microsoft, Pinterest, Amazon, LinkedIn, and Reddit Ads. It does not connect to GA4, CRMs, e-commerce platforms, or data warehouses.
